NEVERENDING STORY

Who loved that fantasy film of the never ending story. The only recollection I had to the film as the song.

Turn around, look at what you see

In her face, the mirror of your dreams

Make believe I’m everywhere

Hidden in the lines, written on the pages 

Is the answer to a neverending story…

Then years later while I studied my Professional Writing degree, I managed to discover the book and watched the films. Sadly the films only cover the first half of the book that was originally written in German. 

 While the both films where captive to watch here is a quote from the Neverending Story II that resonated with me the most 

 Childlike Empress: ‘The emptiness cannot be destroyed. It has to be filled with love.’

 Bastian: ‘And Auryn?’

 Childless Empress: ‘It’s a mirror of what is inside of you. Courage comes from the heart, not from symbols.’ 

Meanwhile life is like a neverending story as every day unfolds in mysterious ways most times. And strange circumstance arise at the same time.

Around the time I read the book and viewed the films, I was also doing weekly Reiki swaps with a German friend who grew up in the town where the film was made and he had actually ridden on the flying luck dragon Falkor, so I was able to hear first hand where the film was made.

Although the original story was written by Michael Ende, sadly Michael fought to have the second half of the book in the film but lost. I understand now as the actual end of the book holds the proper meaning of the story. 

 So let your life be a neverending story.
