Who loves the colour yellow?

Since my Aunt passed, I am reminded that she loved yellow roses so that’s a sign whenever I saw them to think of her.

Yellow wasn’t a colour that was seen in our house much when I was growing up. Although there was a time in my early Melbourne years, I wore a yellow top with moffatts around the neckline that my friend made me buy. AND it looked great and got huge benefit from wearing it.

The colours of the rainbow have a strong link to our energy centres, so when we are in need of healing we are drawn to the colour that requires attention or work.

Yellow is the energy centre for the solar plexus, which is the power zone in relation to whether we own our power or let others control us. When we gain our power it keeps our relationships with others healthy. If the solar plexus is weak, we are the victim and have trouble standing up to others.

As I have done most of my life.

I grew up in a house where the rest of the family held the stronger energy. Therefore, being the sensitive child who didn’t like disagreements meant that I often ‘swallowed’ my anger and let others dominate over me. It wasn’t until leaving my marriage and moving to Melbourne I started to gain back my power.

 AND it’s great.

When we are lacking power in our lives, start by using the colour yellow in your home, wear it or best to eat that colour. Pineapple is a great fruit to eat or share with others. Pineapple it reminds me of Fiji as I ate this fruit at least twice a day.

In fact I couldn’t get enough of it….

As the years have gone by, I’m slowly adjusting to my addiction and love of the pineapple. Which is not a bad thing, because the pineapple is loaded with vitamins.

Yellow for many symbolize happiness and joy, like the sunflower, because it’s a great energy lifter. Just remember the next time you are feeling down or unmotivated, grab some yellow flowers to brighten up your home.

Since this post was originally written, I learnt that the colour yellow also indicates jealousy and that’s why my Aunt chose this colour. There was jealousy in the family around the time of her passing.

And as part of my shamanic extraction, I was able to heal that issue on the women’s line. Which means the colour yellow is no longer associated with her.

What a beautiful message….
